Day 1

Negombo, a city on the west coast of Sri Lanka, is known for its long sandy beaches and centuries-old fishing industry. The city is home to a large bilingual population, dominated by Roman Catholics, with most settling in the coastal belt speaking Tamil. The Sinhala name Migamuva means "Village of the honeycomb" and is derived from a legend in Rajaveliya. The place was named "Mee-Gomuwa" after King Kavantissa's army found bee honey near the seashore for Viharamahadevi, who was pregnant with prince Dutugamunu. Negombo is the Portuguese corrupted name of its Tamil name Neerkolombu. The tour itinerary includes a warm welcome at the airport, transfer to Negombo Beach hotel, an evening plan with a tour guide, and overnight stay at the hotel. The tour includes a city tour of Negombo, a visit to the fishmen village, and a stay at a luxury hotel.

Day 2

Kandy, a large city in central Sri Lanka, is known for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine. This site, also known as Senkadagalapura, was the last capital of the Sinhala kings and was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. The temple, located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha, which has played an important role in local politics since ancient times.


The Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, established in 1843, spans 147 acres and was initially controlled by George Gardner as superintendent. It was later taken under the control of the Department of Agriculture in 1912. The gardens were used as the Southeast Asian Headquarters of the Allied Forces during World War II and were listed in The Guardian's "10 great botanical gardens around the world" in 2018.


The tour itinerary includes visiting the Millennium Elephant Foundation, visiting the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, visiting the Spice Garden, and visiting the Kandy tooth relic temples. The city tour of Kandy includes a cultural show, followed by an evening plan with a tour guide. After a relaxing night at the hotel, the tour continues to Kandy.

Day 3

Nuwara Eliya, also known as "The city with mist" or "Little England," is a hill country retreat founded by Samuel Baker in 1846. Its climate made it a prime sanctuary for British colonialists, who could enjoy activities like fox hunting, deer hunting, elephant hunting, polo, golf, and cricket. The town's attractions include a golf course, trout streams, Victoria Park, and boating or fishing on Lake Gregory. The Hak gala Botanical Gardens showcase roses, tree ferns, monkeys, and blue magpies. Nearby, the Seetha Amman Temple is a colorful Hindu shrine decorated with religious figures. Galway's Land National Park is a sanctuary for endemic and migratory bird species, including bulbuls and flycatchers. The area is home to beautiful waterfalls such as Lovers Leap's Baker's Falls, St. Claire Falls, Devon Falls, and Rambodafalls. The tour itinerary includes a transfer to Nuwara Eliya after breakfast, a tea planation and tea factory tour, a city tour, a Victoria flower garden, and lover slip waterfalls. The next day's activities will be planned with a tour guide. The overnight stay will be at the Nuwara Eliya hotel.

Day 4

The Horton Plains in Sri Lanka is a vast area of cold, windy mist, located at the southern end of the central montane massif. Discovered by Thomas Farr in the early 19th century, it was named in 1834 in honor of Sir Robert Wilmot Horton, the then Governor of Ceylon. The plains are home to a network of streams and channels, and are surrounded by the country's second and third highest mountain peaks, Mount Kirigalpotta Kanda and Mount Thotupola Kanda. The escarpment called World's End and Baker's fall is a highlight of the area. The plains are home to a diverse array of ecosystems, including montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands, and aquatic ecosystems. At an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, the Horton Plains is Sri Lanka's most important catchment area for almost all major rivers. The area is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its rich biodiversity, offering valuable opportunities for educational and research activities. The tour itinerary includes an early morning visit to the Horton Plains Sanctuary, Bakes waterfalls, Ambewela Farm, Strawberry farm shop, Argo plantation, and next day activities with a tour guide.

Day 5

On Day 5, we visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden, one of Sri Lanka's five botanical gardens. The garden is the second largest in the country and is home to the Hakkagla flower garden, Graden Nice rose plant flower, and Kovil. We also visit St. Claire and Devon waterfalls during a city tour. The next day, we plan activities with a tour guide and relax at the hotel.

Day 6

The tour itinerary includes a scenic journey through tea plantations and waterfalls, stopping in Kithulgala for white water rafting in the Kelani River, followed by a safe river bath. Kithulgala is a stop-off between Kandy Nuwara Eliya and the Tea Country, offering beautiful landscapes with jungle, tea, rubber plantations, and mountains. The area was the backdrop for the Academy Award-winning film 'The Bridge on the River Kwai'. Adventure travelers can also enjoy canyoning, trekking, and canoeing on the river. The Sinharaja Rainforest is within reach, offering a chance to trek through tropical plants and observe colorful birds and butterflies. The tour itinerary includes arrival at Kitulgala Adventures Camp, lunch, natural rock pool sliding and confidence jumps, dinner and overnight stay at Kitulgala Adventures Hotel, next day activities with a tour guide, and relaxation at the hotel.

Day 7

After breakfast, we climb down to Bentota, a city known for its beautiful sandy beaches and Sri Lankan Style Sea food dinner. Bentota is a historical place with ancient messenger poems and a fort built by the Portuguese in the 17th century at the mouth of the Bentota River. The Dutch allowed the fort to fall into disrepair, converting one of the large buildings into a colonial rest house for Dutch officers. The British later converted the rest house into a coastal sanatorium. Sir James Emerson Tenants, the Colonial secretary of Ceylon, noted the cool and agreeable rest house at Bentota. The British introduced the railway in the early 19th century to transport coconut produce from the Deep South to the capital. The tour itinerary includes a transfer to Bentota Hotel, visit to Galapatha Viharaya, Prangi Kotuwa bridge, water sports, beach relaxation, and next day activities with a tour guide.

Day 8

Meetiyagoda, located 4 km from the ocean, is famous for its moonstone mines, which have been used in jewelry for millennia. Moonstone was associated with lunar deities by the Romans and Greeks, and became popular during the Art Nouveau period with French goldsmith René Lalique. Madu Ganga, the second largest wetland in Sri Lanka, is rich in biodiversity, with swampy marshlands and mangrove forests. Mask making is a popular tradition in Sri Lanka, with skilled artisans from the Ambalangoda area renowned for mask carving and culture. The Ambalangoda Mask Workshop and Museum is a must-see for mask lore. Green turtles, the most commonly found turtles in Sri Lanka, are found in the Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic Oceans. They grow to a maximum length of 1m and can weigh 250kg. Adult females lay between 120-140 eggs at one time and are found on the beach at night only every few years. The tour itinerary includes a transfer to Balapitiya and Ambalangoda, a Madu river safari, Moonstone Mine, Turtle farm, Cinnamon garden, and Cinnamon processing.

Day 9

Colombo, a port city with a rich colonial heritage, is a mix of races, religions, and cultures. It offers mansions, lush gardens, fine dining, shopping malls, and street markets. Colombo is the financial center of the island and a popular tourist destination. Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, the official administrative capital of Sri Lanka, is home to the legislative capital and Colombo. As the nation's economic hub, it attracts major local and international corporations, designers, and high street retailers. The tour itinerary includes visiting the Gangaramaya temple, Dutch Hospital, twin tower, shopping tour, and next day activities with a tour guide. Overnight stays at hotels are also available.

Day 10

The final day of the tour departs from Colombo, Sri Lanka's commercial capital and largest city by population. The tour itinerary includes a transfer to the airport, a higher-way express via airport, and the end of the tour.
